Reading Robot Club 18

we went to reading again for a Reading Robot Club/Robots Live! co-hosted competition, woah it was cool!!!

got there way to early… in fact apart from Dave W of Team Hell fame, i think i was the first roboteer there!

after a few practice fight’s with Dave a few more roboteer’s showed up: Simon/Nathan, Peter Waller, Nathan Finger, Dan Townend and Marco Roberts. we had loads of practice fights… But then… the servo output shaft snapped which ment that wheel kept falling off, after a hasty repair all was well… hmm…OK-ish…

I can only remember 2 fights with valliant, the first was against Dyamite!

i pushed him against the wall, into the plexiglass and almost down the pit… all in all i had him on the ropes for most of the fight but then… in the dying seconds i turned my back on him and simon grabbed his chance pushing me from the ring.

my next fight was against flippant

i was looking forward to this fight as Flippant was Peters new machine, and i knew it would be good (it was) and true to his name he flipped me left right and center… eventually i was pushed into the pit and out.

That was it for the main competition, but truth be told i wasnt that dissapointed, it had been a long, fun, action packed day and i was dead chuffed to see all my favorite Heavyweights up close and personal. so i then kicked back and watched some metal mashing mayhem in the Heavys!
