Fleaweight build

So im building this fleaweight, its awesome! it has a spinner and is powered by speed hacked servo’s. this is how the build went!

20rh February 2011: okay so good stuff is happening ATM! for a start the new budget transmitter arrived from chinay, and so did 2 spectrum clone receivers! so i wired it all up and…nope nothing happened, we were confused, and irritated. Dad put forward the idea that we try a different lipo, and it worked first time (upon further inspection it turned out the old battery had dropped below its minimum voltage) AND the brushless system fired up as well! so im guessing it must have been the battery all along…yay we solved a problem ;-)

i also took a video

12th February 2011: drive test went well, im in need of a new transmitter because it really is hard to controll with my currents one, so new one in the mail.

i need some help on the brushless too…link to the thread here: http://www.robotwars101.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=1561

10th February 2011: stuck stuff down and made chassis

the servos are speed hacked, its really nippy! almost too nippy…

9th February 2011: The brushless setup is here!

the motor has these cool connectors, but i think they may be cut off to save weight

not much XD but my brushless setup is at the post office depot, and the speed hacked servos are being sent tomorrow from my good mate Tom…

more to come

3rd February 2011: Im looking to throw together a flea for the upcoming AWS and was wondering what brushless setup to use to power the spinner… after a brief search of robotbirds i have come up with this:

http://robotbirds.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=56_57&products_id=1416

and this as the ESC:

http://robotbirds.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=3_321&products_id=1734

i hope that would be a good setup but im fairly n00bish in the brushless department so i may have made a basic mistake

bear in mind i am as always on a tight budget
